They Had an Impact Build Now you and your partner will start building a web page about the person you think should be chosen "Person of the 20th Century" (not necessarily the one most people agreed on during the discussion phase). First, you will make a scrapbook about that person, i.e., you will collect images and text (by or about the person you chose), and save them to your floppy disk. Don't forget the credits for the pictures. Here is a list of resources for images:
Next, you will decide how to build the web page. The easiest way is to use MS-Word . Click here for a template. However, If you have an HTML editor available, you may use this template instead.
Start building your page. Change the template you you wish, but keep it simple. Below are two links to sites where you can make different titles. Leave your page open on the browser (Internet Explorer) for the other pairs to see it. Also, leave a piece of paper next to the computer so your classmates can make comments. Go see the other pairs' pages. Write down any comments you have on the paper next to the computer. Read the comments that your classmates made, and make changes to your page as necessary. Your teacher will collect the disks to check your pages and give you some feedback. Then you will receive them back to make the necessary adjustments. Hand in your disks to your teacher for a final check, and to be published on the Internet so everyone can see the beautiful page you have built. Now it's time to get to some conclusions. Let's go! |
